Short trousers are always nice for spring/summer, they are comfier and more breathable than full length and give off an air of being at the beach in the rock pools, rolling up your hems to escape the water. This season seems to have embraced this small detail with gusto, as one of the prevailing details I noticed at Somerset house and whilst interning at Vauxhall Fashion Scout was the ankle. All hems seemed to be turned up, socks played a large part in dressing shoes, boots offered cut outs and people braved the weather to get their ankles out.
